Things I learned at REI

1) I’m going to want to take an in-line water filter as opposed to relying on a chemical water treatment. It’s going to be cheaper in the long run, even though it means plopping down 90 bucks up front. The MSR micro filter is recommended for thru-hikers because it’s filters need to be replaced less often than the MSR sweet water.

2) The pocket rocket stove is cheap! Like $35 cheap. This changes everything. I may have to look more into a canister stove.
